Mediation offers a way to settle such issues out of court. The idea is to find a solution that is fair and satisfies all parties.
The objective of mediation is a legally binding agreement. It is worked out by the parties themselves and they bear responsibility for the agreement. A neutral third party without any arbitration power – the mediator – supports this process and provides advice.
Mediation makes sense in cases where the parties are looking for a mutually acceptable solution that enables future cooperation. In business, these can be

  • conflicts between suppliers, partners or customers

  • differences among co-owners

  • disputes between management and staff associations

  • ongoing friction between individual employees or teams

In a preliminary meeting it is determined whether mediation is the appropriate approach for resolving the specific situation.
